I visited the Apple Alley Bakery, one of the most famous bakeries in Julian. I entered the bakery through a small door on the corner of the wall. I walked up to the counter where there was a tempting display of all the pies to choose from. On the left they have the full menu. Some of the pie choices were Traditional Apple, Apple Crumb, Apple Boysenberry, and Caramel Apple Pecan. I decided to get the Apple Crumb Pie with some delicious vanilla ice cream. The ambience was good. They had an interesting apple guide for cooking and many paintings on the wall. I would give the ambience 4 out of 5 stars. The service was good. They were fast, but I did not like that the pie was served on a tray. I would’ve prefered to eat the pie on a ceramic plate. I’ll give the service 3.5 out of 5 stars . The food, however, was delicious! The hot pie and the cold ice cream had the perfect texture and taste. I would give the food 5 stars, and overall the restaurant gets 4.5 stars. If you want the best pie in Julian, go to the Apple Alley Bakery.
